How would you introduce yourself?
A global citizen and a highly flexible and entrepreneurial financial professional with a portfolio of experience across family office and investment banking, as well as hands-on financial experience as a qualified accountant both in-house and for a
leading audit firm.
When did you join WiFA? Which committee will you be working with in 2020 and what are your key goals?
I joined WiFA in 2011, when I moved to Hong Kong from London. WiFA has supported me ever since. I participated in the mentor mentee program two years ago, which helped me set the cornerstone for my future development. I am the Events Lead, helping all of the Committees to coordinate our events. Despite the current challenges, be assured that lots of great events will be organized to bring our growing community closer together.
What advice would you give to women who want to lead?
Rule number one: never give up. Resilience is the key. At the end of the day, the worst enemy you can meet will always be yourself. It’s also quite important to follow your real passion, as we always excel in areas we really enjoy.
Please tell us a fun fact about you
Before meeting me in person, quite a lot of people assume I am male because of my Chinese name. Believe it or not, this actually gives me lots of first move advantage! I also have a Christian name and I am happy to be called by either!
