How would you introduce/ define yourself?

Cool aunt (I hope), loyal friend, adventurous eater, enthusiastic if mediocre skier, and passionate finance / fintech professional!

When did you join WiFA? Which committee will you be leading in 2020 and what are your key goals?

I became an enthusiastic volunteer on the Networking Committee in 2019, and had a great time organising last year’s Networking Dinner with a curated menu of food and conversation topics. I am now privileged to be a Co-Chair on the Networking Committee. Our goal for the Networking Committee is very simple: to hold fun and meaningful events that will build a vibrant and connected community among WiFA members with whom to learn, collaborate, and have a laugh!

Tell us one thing that is important for #CreatingTheWorkforceOfTheFuture

Acceptance.  Of changes that are happening or going to happen in the world outside; of changes within you as you move through the various stages of life; and of losses and upheavals that will naturally result from these changes. Then you can ask: ok, this is what it is, what am I going to do about it?

What advice would you give to women who want to lead?

First and foremost, lead by doing, by example. Yes we women can do better about promoting ourselves, but the talk without the walk is not worthy of the title nor respect accorded to leaders. Secondly, bring everyone with you – don’t just live in a bubble with other leaders; your power will come from people of all ranks who are behind you.

Tell us one unexpected/ fun fact about you

I am a keen but probably quite terrible Muay Thai student, but I do it so I can keep being the adventurous eater I am!
