How would you introduce yourself?

I’m an optimistic, adventure-loving, purpose-driven connector and collaborator. I’d say I’m a deep generalist with over 30 years of experience across diverse roles and industries, including financial services, supply chain, NGOs, wellness and media.

What is your current role, and your participation within the diversity and inclusion initiatives?

I’m Chief Purpose Officer with human at work, helping leaders and their teams activate purpose to create high performance organizations, humans who thrive, and a better world.

At human at work we focus on helping organizations reach peak performance with people at the core. When people can bring their whole selves to work and contribute meaningfully to work with purpose, they feel empowered, included, connected and motivated to give their best. When people are heard, and their unique strengths and gifts are fostered, their full potential is in focus, and that’s the ultimate win for organizations and their D&I strategies.

Can you share one challenge you faced running your program, and the accomplishment that you are most proud of?

One challenge is getting organizations to really focus on being a force for good for their people and for society – and finding profitable ways to do that. This requires intention and action, and it’s a long-term strategy that is proven to create success. It’s a relatively new way of thinking and doing, so this movement is really just gaining pace in Asia Pacific.

The best accomplishment is seeing energy go through the roof when leaders and teams focus on their “why”, and connect to how lives are improving because of the work they do. It’s just so powerful!

What advice would you give to women who want to lead?

Just get out there and start building your leadership experience, your network, your skills and, most importantly, your mindset. Squash your self-doubt and limiting beliefs through meditation,  mentorship, following role models or other ways that help you grow. Step up and lead anything you can – a volunteer activity, an event or an organization inside or outside of work. Do something that challenges you every day.

Tell us one unexpected/ fun fact about you.

I’ve been in Hong Kong for 27 years now, and my long-time friends nicknamed me “Action Asia”. I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie, and although I’m more tame now, I’ll forever be adventure-seeking.
