How would you introduce/ define yourself?
Creative, outgoing, passionate and curious. I have a cheeky side and love to laugh more than anything.
When did you join WiFA and what is your current role?
I have been attending and participating in WiFA events for a few years. I joined the Mentoring Committee towards the end of 2019, to help with the implementation of the 2020 Mentor-Mentee Programme (MMP).
What are your WiFA goals for 2020?
Through the MMP I hope to help people connect with someone new that can support their growth and development by sharing their views and experience.
Tell us one thing that is important for #CreatingTheWorkforceOfTheFuture:
The growth mindset. Adaptability has always been key in any role, but now careers require us to evolve more and more, especially with new technology such as automation and AI. Personal and professional growth means exploring, trying, failing, and learning; people with a growth mindset develop and grow through this experience.
What advice would you give to women who want to lead?
To use a tennis metaphor, success at work happens by playing right up to the line not in the middle of the court. Men are said to see work as a team sport – there are rules, but there are winners and
losers. Women are said to see work like planning an event – everyone having their role and the need for collaboration to deliver. My advice? Know when to collaborate and partner, and when to “win.”

I have just completed levels 1 and 2 of an executive coaching course, which is my learning challenge for 2020. So if anyone would like to be my test subject please reach out!
