Ruoyi Ma

Ruoyi is a Director of Corporate Finance at Société Générale (SG), a dedicated mum, an outdoor enthusiast (marathon running, cycling, trekking), an avid traveller (88 countries and counting), and bit of a foodie.

Prior to SG, Ruoyi was a Vice President of Corporate Finance at RBC Capital Markets, with whom she made the move to Hong Kong from London in 2014. Ruoyi’s investment banking career began as a graduate with HSBC in London after she obtained an MSc in Economic History and a BSc (Hons) in Philosophy & Economics from the London School of Economics. She was born in China, raised in Sri Lanka and lived in London for 15 years, and is bilingual (English, Mandarin).

Ruoyi is passionate about diversity and gender equality, and believes that a position should always go to the best qualified person without gender bias either way. She has undertaken the role of a mentor at the workplace throughout her career.
