One application we developed to help the government and residents in the current corona virus crisis, is a dashboard on which the geolocation of confirmed corona cases is mapped.
What do you feel passionate about?
I have been actively advocating the use of technology and sharing views on the ICT industry, eHealth, environmental conservation, entrepreneurship and the smart city through my services in government and non-government organisations in Hong Kong. I have had the honor to share my views on these topics at conferences, seminars and workshops organised by international organisations such as the World Bank Group, International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Asian Productivity Organization (APO).
Tell us a bit more about your involvement in WiFA?
Benedicte Nolens invited me to do the key note speech at the WiFA Annual Outlook in 2018, focused on Hong Kong’s Smart City initiatives. It was a lovely event, taking place in the Credit Suisse auditorium on the 88th floor of the ICC, with magnificent views overlooking Hong Kong.
What are you proud of?
I have published 12 Chinese and English books and over 600 research papers, newspaper articles and journals. In 2016, my Chinese book entitled “Surfing the IT World” won the publishing award (the category of Commerce and Management) in the first Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Awards 2017.
